And this time, like usual, it is not a US supercomputer, but a Chinese, according to the bi-annual Top 500 supercomputers list. Chinese Tianhe-1A tops the list being the fastest supercomputer on the planet. However, while the top spot goes to China, US still dominates the ranking with more than half of the world's fastest 500 supercomputers based in the region.China has improved its share with 42 systems in the rankings, putting it ahead of Japan, France, Germany and Britain.
